New polyp removal technique aims to stop cancer before it starts

NCT ID NCT06476145

Summary

This study compares two different techniques doctors use to remove large, flat colon polyps during a colonoscopy. Researchers want to see if marking the edges of the polyp before cutting it out works as well as using heat to treat the edges after removal, in terms of preventing the polyp from growing back. The trial will measure which method is faster and has fewer serious side effects like bleeding or perforation.
