Glowing dye could help surgeons spot hidden colon cancers
NCT ID NCT07380867
Summary
This study is testing a new glowing marker called Luminomark to help surgeons find early-stage colon cancers more accurately during surgery. Before surgery, doctors inject the special dye near the tumor during a colonoscopy. During the operation, surgeons use a special camera that makes the dye glow, helping them see exactly where to cut to remove all the cancer while sparing healthy tissue. The goal is to make surgery more precise and avoid removing more of the colon than necessary.
