Research aims to refine colon cancer surgery by understanding tumor spread patterns
NCT ID NCT06798857
Summary
This study looked at 1,471 colon cancer patients to understand how a specific protein status in the tumor (called MMR status) relates to how the cancer spreads to lymph nodes and patient survival. The goal was to gather evidence to help doctors decide the best extent of lymph node removal during surgery for different patients. It analyzed patient records and survival data but did not test a new treatment.
