NCT ID NCT07202117
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two popular injectable treatments—Sculptra (PLLA) and Radiesse (CaHA)—to see which one better improves skin elasticity and appearance on the face and chest. Forty-five adults with mild to severe skin aging will receive both treatments in different areas and be monitored for changes in skin firmness and satisfaction. The goal is to help people choose the best option for rejuvenating aging skin.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) injections
- What this could lead to
- If this trial succeeds, it could show which collagen stimulator works better for improving skin firmness and reducing wrinkles on the face and chest.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-phase trial with only 45 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Both treatments are already approved for cosmetic use, so no major new risks are expected.
