New collagen scaffold could boost elbow cartilage healing

Summary
This study tests whether adding a collagen scaffold to standard microfracture surgery helps repair elbow cartilage better than surgery alone. It will enroll 90 adults aged 18-55 with elbow cartilage damage that hasn't improved with rest or medication. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either microfracture plus the scaffold or microfracture alone, and will be followed for 6 months with MRI scans and pain/function questionnaires.
