Chilling the brain to save it: new hope for severe strokes

NCT ID NCT07232082

Summary

This study is testing whether cooling the brain with cold saline during a standard clot-removal procedure helps people recover better from a severe stroke. It will compare the standard procedure plus cold fluid to the standard procedure plus normal-temperature fluid in 322 participants. The main goal is to see if more people can regain independence in daily activities 90 days after treatment.
