Chill out: cold spray tested to ease painful shots after surgery

NCT ID NCT07195955

Summary

This study looked at whether spraying a cold mist on the skin before a blood thinner injection could reduce pain and bruising. It involved 101 adults who had orthopedic surgery and needed daily injections to prevent blood clots. Researchers compared the pain and bruising at injection sites with and without the cold spray to see if it was a helpful, practical option.
