Summary

This study tested whether a new cream (acyclovir-penciclovir) works better than Abreva at preventing cold sores from forming after UV light exposure. About 40 adults with a history of sun-triggered cold sores took part. Researchers tracked how many people avoided getting a blister and how fast sores healed.
