New snare technique tested to stop colon cancer before it starts
NCT ID NCT07114380
Summary
This study is testing a specific way to remove medium-sized growths in the colon, called polyps, which can sometimes turn into cancer. Doctors want to see if using a 'cold snare'—a wire loop without heat—is a safe and effective way to completely remove these polyps. About 120 people in Taiwan with these specific polyps will have them removed this way, and researchers will carefully track if they are fully removed and if there are any complications like bleeding.
