Cold plasma zaps wound woes in High-Risk artery patients
NCT ID NCT07571408
First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a cold plasma treatment applied during groin surgery can prevent wound healing problems in people with peripheral artery disease who are at high risk for complications. About 214 participants will receive either the real plasma or a placebo device during their operation. Researchers will track wound healing for three months to see if the plasma reduces the need for additional surgeries or other wound issues.
