First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests a new treatment called cold plasma for moderate-to-severe athlete's foot, a common fungal infection that often doesn't get better with standard creams. The treatment uses a device that creates special particles to kill the fungus and help the skin heal. About 220 adults with confirmed athlete's foot will receive either cold plasma or a fake treatment to see if it works and is safe.
