Summary

This study tested whether colchicine, an inexpensive anti-inflammatory drug usually used for gout, can help patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 pneumonia. 66 patients in Lahore were given the drug to see if it shortens hospital stays and reduces the need for oxygen. The goal was to find a low-cost treatment option for developing countries.
