First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at how low levels of carbon monoxide in the blood during anesthesia affect certain proteins linked to inflammation and cell health. Researchers will compare two types of anesthesia gas flow in 120 adults having surgery. The goal is to understand if small amounts of carbon monoxide can be protective, not just harmful.
