NCT ID NCT06582901
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether computer-based cognitive training, combined with group therapy, can improve thinking skills and daily functioning in Tunisian youth at clinical high risk for psychosis. Fifty-four participants will either receive the cognitive training program or an enhanced usual care group. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and helps reduce the chance of developing psychosis.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Cognitive training (computer-based brain exercises) plus group therapy
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a non-drug way to help young people at risk of psychosis think more clearly and function better in daily life.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early feasibility study with only 54 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The intervention is time-intensive and may not show clear benefits.
