New hope for Veterans' PTSD brain fog: training program shows promise
NCT ID NCT03696225
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a thinking skills training program could help veterans with PTSD who still struggle with memory, focus, and concentration after standard PTSD therapy. Researchers worked with 21 veterans to see if the training was practical and acceptable, and to gather early data on whether it might improve daily thinking skills. The goal was to prepare for a larger future trial to determine if this approach effectively addresses the cognitive problems many veterans face alongside PTSD.
