First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a type of therapy called cognitive remediation therapy (CRT) for women with eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, or binge-eating disorder. CRT aims to improve thinking skills such as flexibility, planning, and impulse control, which are often affected in these conditions. One hundred women who are already in treatment and have certain thinking difficulties will receive nine weekly CRT sessions. Researchers will measure changes in thinking, eating disorder symptoms, and quality of life.
