Female Divers' brains put to the test in Breath-Hold study

Summary

This study looks at how holding your breath underwater affects thinking and body functions in trained female divers. Thirty licensed divers will do three different sessions: a control, breath-hold training on land, and breath-hold training in water. Researchers will measure memory, reaction time, mood, heart rate, and breathing before and after each session to better understand the effects of apnea-based diving exercises.
