Female Divers' brains put to the test in Breath-Hold study

NCT ID NCT07616804

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how holding your breath underwater affects thinking and body functions in trained female divers. Thirty licensed divers will do three different sessions: a control, breath-hold training on land, and breath-hold training in water. Researchers will measure memory, reaction time, mood, heart rate, and breathing before and after each session to better understand the effects of apnea-based diving exercises.
