First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether drinking a small amount of caffeinated coffee (1.5 or 3 mg per kg of body weight) helps combat sports athletes perform better during repeated 10-second sprints. Fifteen healthy male athletes completed sprint tests after drinking either caffeinated or decaffeinated coffee. Researchers measured power output, fatigue, and how the body used energy to see if the caffeine made a difference.
