Your morning coffee: heart friend or foe?
NCT ID NCT05121519
Summary
This study tested whether people with a common irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) should stop drinking coffee after a heart rhythm reset treatment. Researchers randomly assigned 200 patients to either quit coffee or keep drinking it for six months to see which group had fewer heart rhythm problems return. The goal was to give clear advice about a daily habit that affects millions.
