NCT ID NCT07537283
First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether adding coenzyme Q10 (a natural substance found in the body) to standard epilepsy medications could safely reduce seizures in adults whose epilepsy does not respond to drugs alone. Thirty-nine adults with drug-resistant epilepsy took either coenzyme Q10 or a placebo for 12 weeks. Researchers tracked seizure frequency and cognitive function to see if the supplement made a difference.
