Simple roach bait tested as key to easing Kids' asthma
NCT ID NCT04331353
Summary
This study aims to see if using simple, low-toxicity cockroach bait alone can improve asthma symptoms in children as effectively as a more complex home cleaning program that targets multiple allergens like dust, mold, and pet dander. It will involve 290 children, ages 5-17, with asthma who live in homes with cockroaches in the New Orleans area. Researchers will track asthma symptoms, hospital visits, and quality of life over 12 months to find the most practical way to help families control asthma triggers.
