Computer tunes hearing implants for clearer speech

NCT ID NCT05219474

Summary

This study tested whether a computer model could find better settings for cochlear implants than the standard method. Fourteen adults with hearing loss who already had a cochlear implant participated. Researchers used the model to suggest which implant electrodes to turn on or off, aiming to improve how well users understand speech.
