Doctors track special hearing implants for five years

Summary
This study follows 19 adults with significant hearing loss who previously received a special cochlear implant. The implant slowly releases a medication (dexamethasone) to help reduce inflammation around the device. Researchers will track the participants' hearing, speech understanding, and any device issues for up to five years to see how well the implant works long-term.
