New study aims to make cochlear implant care easier with remote monitoring

NCT ID NCT07117968

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a new care pathway for adults with severe hearing loss who get a cochlear implant. Instead of many in-person visits, patients will use remote monitoring and have their device activated earlier using data from surgery. The goal is to see if this approach improves quality of life and is just as good for hearing as standard care. About 130 adults across French hospitals will take part.
