NCT ID NCT07564193

First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026

Summary

This study tests a program called Coach Mpilo, where men living with HIV are trained to support other men with HIV. The coaches help their peers overcome barriers like stigma, mental health issues, and lack of knowledge to stay in care and take their medication. The study will enroll 800 men in South Africa who have missed a clinic visit and are not currently on HIV treatment, and will measure if the program improves clinic attendance, viral suppression, and mental health.
