Doctors probe link between Kids' breathing and dangerous eye pressure spikes

NCT ID NCT06275308

Summary

This study aims to understand how carbon dioxide levels in children's breathing affect pressure inside the eye during eye exams under anesthesia. Researchers will measure eye pressure and scan the back of the eye in 20 children aged 0-8 years who are already having scheduled eye procedures. The goal is to learn whether changes in breathing patterns contribute to pressure increases that can complicate eye surgery.
