NCT ID NCT07475494
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study aims to create and test a new way for nurses to talk with patients that respects their cultural backgrounds and personal health priorities. Researchers will work with patients, families, and nurses to design the approach, then pilot it in primary care clinics with 60 participants. The goal is to see if the method is practical and helpful for improving communication and trust.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Culturally Responsive Nursing Care Intervention (behavioural training and conversational prompts)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a practical framework for nurses to better understand and respect patients' cultural beliefs, improving trust and care quality in primary healthcare.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage pilot study (60 participants) focused on feasibility and acceptability, not on health outcomes. The intervention may not be effective in larger, more diverse settings.
