Major european hunt for clues to stop dangerous virus in transplant patients

NCT ID NCT05701228

Summary

This study aims to understand why some organ transplant patients develop severe, hard-to-treat Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections. Researchers are collecting blood samples and health data from over 550 transplant patients across Europe. By studying these samples, they hope to identify which patients are most at risk and find better ways to prevent and manage this serious complication.
