New vaccine aims to shield vulnerable kids from deadly virus

Summary

This study is testing a new vaccine designed to protect children from serious complications of cytomegalovirus (CMV) after they receive a donor stem cell transplant. The research aims to find the safest and most effective dose of the vaccine and see if it can reduce CMV infections compared to past cases. About 80 children who are CMV-positive and undergoing a transplant will receive the vaccine shots after their procedure.
