New drug combo aims to knock out CMV faster in kidney transplant patients

Summary
This study tests whether adding letermovir to standard valganciclovir treatment works better than valganciclovir alone for cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections in kidney transplant recipients. About 80 adult participants will receive either the combination or the single drug, and researchers will measure how quickly the virus clears from the blood. The goal is to improve treatment while monitoring safety and tolerance.
