Summary
This study aims to see if checking newborns with unclear hearing test results for a common virus called CMV is helpful. CMV is a leading cause of hearing loss in babies, but most infected babies show no symptoms at birth. By screening these infants, doctors hope to find the cause of hearing problems earlier and provide better, more tailored care and monitoring.
