Researchers scan ears to uncover hidden link between common virus and hearing loss
NCT ID NCT05229744
Summary
This study aimed to understand how often a specific inner ear condition occurs in people who were born with a common virus (CMV) and now have hearing or balance problems. Researchers used a special type of MRI scan on 18 participants to look for swelling in the inner ear. The goal was to gather knowledge about the connection between the virus and these symptoms, not to test a new treatment.
