Scientists hunt for genetic keys to unlock mysteries of nerve disease

Summary
This research aims to better understand Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), a genetic nerve disorder. One part of the study seeks to find out why people with the same main genetic cause of CMT can have very different symptoms. The other part is searching for new, unknown genetic causes of CMT. Researchers will analyze DNA from about 1,050 participants, including people with CMT and some of their unaffected family members.
