New injection tested to calm dangerous pancreatitis inflammation

NCT ID NCT03401190

Summary

This study tested an investigational injection called CM4620-IE in adults hospitalized with acute pancreatitis and a dangerous whole-body inflammatory response (SIRS). The main goal was to check the safety of the drug and see how well it worked when added to standard hospital care. Researchers looked at whether the treatment helped reduce inflammation, improved patients' ability to eat, and shortened hospital stays.
