New pill tested to tame 'Suicide Headaches'
NCT ID NCT05264714
Summary
This small, completed study explored whether a medication called rimegepant could help prevent cluster headaches, which are extremely painful and often called 'suicide headaches.' Twenty adults with diagnosed cluster headaches took rimegepant every other day for eight days. Researchers tracked how often headaches occurred and how severe they were to see if the drug helped control the condition.
