New study aims to find best surgery for Kids' relapsed clubfoot

NCT ID NCT07466043

Summary

This study compares two surgical techniques for correcting a common residual foot deformity in children whose clubfoot has returned after initial treatment. It will enroll 40 children aged 5-10 with relapsed clubfoot and residual metatarsal adductus. Researchers aim to determine which method—a traditional midfoot bone cut (osteotomy) or a newer, less invasive guided growth technique (8-Plate)—provides better correction and patient satisfaction.
