Can a medication stop violence in schizophrenia?

Summary

This study is testing if the medication clozapine is better than standard antipsychotic treatment at preventing violent acts in people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. It will involve 280 adults who have a recent history of violence. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either clozapine or their usual treatment and followed for 24 weeks to see which group has fewer violent incidents.
