First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tested a new smart guidewire (Clotild®) in 45 stroke patients to see if it can safely help doctors guide a clot-removal device to the right spot. The wire also measures the clot's electrical properties to learn more about its makeup. The main goal was to check safety, like whether the wire caused any blood vessel damage.
