First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study compares two ways to numb the shoulder for surgery. The standard method can sometimes weaken breathing muscles. The new method uses a different nerve block combination plus clonidine, aiming to control pain just as well but with fewer breathing side effects. Sixty adults having arthroscopic shoulder surgery will take part.
