New shoulder block aims to cut breathing risks

Summary
This study compares two ways to numb the shoulder for surgery. The standard method can sometimes weaken breathing muscles. The new method uses a different nerve block combination plus clonidine, aiming to control pain just as well but with fewer breathing side effects. Sixty adults having arthroscopic shoulder surgery will take part.
