New hope for men with zero sperm? drug trial aims to boost IVF success

NCT ID NCT03615547

Summary

This study tests if a hormone pill (clomiphene citrate) can help men who produce no sperm and had a failed testicular surgery. Men will take the drug or a placebo for 9 months before a second surgery to try to find sperm for IVF. The goal is to see if the treatment increases the chance of finding sperm for in vitro fertilization (ICSI).
