Brain repair trial tests common allergy drug for MS

NCT ID NCT06065670

Summary

This study is testing if an existing allergy medication, clemastine fumarate, can help repair the protective coating (myelin) around nerves in the brain for people with multiple sclerosis (MS). It will involve 44 adults with MS who have recently active brain lesions. Researchers will use advanced MRI scans to see if the drug helps regrow myelin over 6 months, compared to a placebo.
