NCT ID NCT04150783

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study used computer models to simulate airflow in the noses of 12 adults with a cleft lip and nasal blockage. The goal was to better understand how the deformity affects breathing and to help doctors plan surgeries that restore normal nasal function. Participants had CT scans and breathing tests before and after surgery. The research did not test a new treatment but aimed to improve future surgical outcomes.
