First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested a new dialysis filter called Clearum HS in 20 adults with end-stage kidney disease who were already on dialysis. The goal was to see if the new filter safely removes waste products like urea from the blood as well as or better than standard filters. Participants used their usual filter for 2 weeks, then switched to the Clearum filter for 6 weeks, with regular monitoring of toxin removal and side effects.
