New kidney dialysis filter put to the test

NCT ID NCT04395131

Summary

This study tested a new type of dialysis filter called the Clearum HS to see how well and safely it works for people with end-stage kidney disease. Twenty patients on regular dialysis first used a standard filter for two weeks, then switched to the new Clearum filter for six weeks. Researchers compared how effectively each filter removed waste products and toxins from the blood during treatment.
