First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at 40 young adults (ages 18-25) with severe crowding who needed four premolars removed. Half got clear aligners, half got traditional braces. Researchers used 3D X-rays to measure how much the tooth roots shortened during treatment. The goal was to see if clear aligners cause less root damage than braces.
