Summary
This study aims to find out if wearing clear aligners for orthodontic treatment increases the amount of tiny plastic particles (microplastics) in a person's body. Researchers will follow 150 patients receiving clear aligner treatment, collecting their saliva and urine samples before and after treatment starts. By analyzing these samples, they hope to understand if and how much microplastic exposure comes from the aligners.
