First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 39 times
Summary
This study tests whether using air cleaners at home can reduce flare-ups and improve quality of life for people with COPD. About 770 adults aged 40 and older with COPD and a history of smoking will use either a real air cleaner or a sham device for one year. The goal is to see if cleaner indoor air helps control the disease and reduces the need for rescue medication.
