New lens aims to improve Mid-Range vision after cataract surgery

Summary

This study tests a new type of artificial lens (Clareon TruPlus) for people having cataract surgery in both eyes. The goal is to see if this lens gives better vision at arm's length (about 66 cm) while still keeping distance vision clear. Fifty adults with age-related cataracts will receive the lens in both eyes and be followed for 12 weeks after the second surgery.
