New hope for hard-to-treat leukemia: drug duo targets resistant cancer cells

Summary
This study tests a combination of two drugs, cladribine and venetoclax, in adults with a specific type of acute myeloid leukemia (monocytic AML) that came back or didn't respond to standard treatment. About 20 participants will receive the new drug combo to see if it can shrink or control the cancer. The goal is to find a better option for people whose leukemia has stopped responding to current therapies.
