New skin patch delivers radiation to fight cancer
NCT ID NCT04480645
Summary
This small, early-stage study tested a new radiation patch called CivaDerm for treating common skin cancers like basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. The patch uses a radioactive material (palladium-103) in a new design to deliver radiation directly to the skin's surface. The main goal was to check how safe the patch is by monitoring for serious skin reactions.
